L.G.F.F. Training

On September 10 and 11, the Liquefied Gases Fire Fighting (LGFF) training program was held, which was attended by Officers and executives of the companies LATSCO and ELETSON.

During the first day (theoretical training), the specificities of gaseous fuels, the risks that arise during their leaks, as well as the methods of their management, were presented and analyzed, with examples and case studies of similar accidents.

The second day of the program included practical training at the Schimatari training field, where a full report was made on possible accidents during the transport and storage of LNG and LPG. During the course, realistic fire scenarios of different causes and behavior were developed, such as jetfire, flangefire, poolfire, fire with ignition of the overpressure relief valve, etc., with corresponding extinguishing techniques by the participant groups, with the aim of familiarizing them with teamwork, the development and implementation of innovative fire-fighting methods, as well as the use of the corresponding fire-fighting means and materials.
